Pragmatic Play expects newly launched Queen of Gods video slot’s innovative bonus round to be big draw

Back we go to Ancient Egypt in Pragmatic Play‘s third new June title, Queen of Gods, which also happens to be the online casino software developer’s second slot this month that is set in the kingdom, following Fortune of Giza. However, rather than focus on a city in the ancient civilization, the game is based on Cleopatra, who ruled Ancient Egypt for almost three decades.

In addition to the theme, this too is a high volatility, 5-reel, 3-row video slot, but here we have only 10 paylines versus 20 in the earlier release. The RTP varies a bit as well at 96.38 percent while winning combinations are formed by landing three or more matching symbols on adjacent reels starting from the far left side.

Speaking of symbols, we have J-A card values for the lower pays and four Ancient Egyptian deities, including Anubis, Horus, Sebek and the Queen herself, for the high pays.

Appearing on reels 2, 3, and 4, the game’s Wild substitutes for all symbols except for the Scatter, which can land on reels 1, 3, and 5, and hitting three of them in the same spin, pays 5x the total bet. These two symbols help to form winning lines and boost prizes.

During base gameplay, landing three or more scatter symbols triggers the free spins round. When that happens, players are presented with four different free spins and wild multiplier options, including:

  • 15 free spins and wilds do not have a multiplier
  • 11 free spins where wilds include a 2x multiplier
  • 8 free spins where wilds have a 3x multiplier
  • mystery option that randomly assigns one of the other three options

During the bonus round, which, by the way, cannot be retriggered, the only symbols that appear on the special reels that are in play are the four premiums along with the wilds selected by the player prior to the start of the free spins round. This boosts the game’s big win potential and is key in the possibility of scoring the 1,823x max win.

Feature Draws:

Commenting on the new title via company news, Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer for Pragmatic Play, said…

“Building upon the incredibly popular theme of Ancient Egypt and creating an innovative bonus round where only high paying symbols are in play will be a draw for both new and existing Pragmatic Play enthusiasts alike.”

Barzely goes on to explain that by providing players with “a level of autonomy” in the free spins round and by allowing them the choose the number of spins and the wild multiplier – that is applied to all winning combinations that include their free spin option –  it “not only increases direct engagement but allows them to change the game to better reflect their gambling preference.”

Recent Releases & Coming Soon:

The latest release joins other recent launches including the other Ancient Egyptian-themed title published by Pragmatic Play this month, Fortune of Giza, as well as the slightly disturbing Zombie Carnival and Wild West Gold Megaways, the sequel to the popular slot Wild West Gold released in March 2020. Each of these can be found in the developer’s portfolio of more than 200 titles.
